FLSA - Child Labor Standards Training

The Federal child labor provisions, authorized by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) of 1938, were enacted to ensure that when young people work, the work is safe and does not jeopardize their health, well-being or educational opportunities. By knowing and understanding and complying with these provisions, employers, parents, and teachers can help working teens enjoy those safe, positive early work experiences that can be so important to their development.

In this training, we will focus on the federal child labor requirements relating to the employment of minors. As with other HR Classroom trainings, employers can fully document trainee activity, and your organization’s own policy can also be inserted directly into the training.
